When starting working on this website, I read this article, which gave me helpful tips when it comes to making websites. This article covers everything from where to start, to some basic guidlines, to social networking. I believe that this article would be helpful to other artists or people that interested in starting their own website.

The beginning of this article starts at the very beginning of the website making process, buying a domain name. It then goes on to talk about designing your website. The article states, "...your site should be about your work, not the designof your site." I quoted this line from the article because I believe that this is the main point for an artist to have a website. After talking about some design ideas, the article gives the readers some basic guidelines when it comes to making a website. The basic guidelines are: make it accessable, keep your visitor, make it fast, a blog is not a website, the website should focus on your art, separate your fine art from other works, etc. Having these guidelines can help anyone create their own website that will appeal to visitors.

The article goes on to talk about other important things to remember when creating a website, such as planning, hosting, software, getting published, search engines, copyright issues, and social networking. This article is everything one needs to get their website started.
