To help me become more familiar with Adobe InDesign, Rani provided us with more videos and an article that would help me understand how to wrap text around an object. In this week's videos, I learned how to do a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator, how to add text and images, and how to wrap text. The article that I read also talked about to wrap text, making it so much easier to understand.
In the first video, I learned about how to do a clipping mask, but while using Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is an important tool, since it can be helpful to do something in this program before transferring it over to InDesign. The process to do a clipping mask in Illustrator is more work than it would be to something similar in InDesign. By drawing a rectangle over an image, a user can easily, and non-destructively, crop an image.
The second video that I watched talked in more detail about how to add text and image using Adobe InDesign. To create a basic text box, all the user has to do is click and drag until the text box looks like you want it. If you go up to the type menu, there is a feature that can fill the text box you just created with placeholder, or dummy text. With placing an image, there are many ways to achieve what you want.
