Like most of the video tutorials that Rani has us watch before each class, I found these videos to be helpful when working with Adobe Photoshop. The three videos that I watched talked about the selection tool, refining edges, and drop shadows. These videos gave me more depth about the many features of Adobe Photoshop.

The first video talked about the selection tool. It discussed the basic selection tools such as: the rectangular marque tool, the lasso tool, and the quick selection tool. When using the rectangular marque tool, there are others that can be found under this tool. There is the elliptical marque tool, the single row marque tool, and the single column marque tool. The single row and single column marque tool are often used in web design. The lasso tool is used to create more organics shapes, but can also be used to create polygonal shapes. Besides the lasso tool and the polygonal lasso tool, there is also the magnetic lasso tool. The last selection tool that this video discusses is the quick selection tool. This tool selects parts of a photograph based on the colors of where you start. You can also subtract from part of your selection by pressing alt, and clicking.

The second video that I watched talked about how to refine an edge. The video starts by quick selecting a golden retriever dog. It then goes on to talk about the options you have when refining an edge. I found this video helpful because I learned something that I haven't really worked with before in Adobe Photoshop.

The last video briefly discussed how to give something a drop shadow. I have also not really worked with drop shadow before in Photoshop, so it was nice to learn something new yet again.
