I want to start this blog post off by saying how wonderful it is to have video tutorials available to us to help with Adobe Illustrator. This first set of video tutorials really helped me become more familiar with Illustrator and its tools that we will use for this project. The five videos that I watched had some very helpful tips that have helped me when working with Illustrator during class.

The first video, "What is Illustrator?", was just a introduction to what Illustator can be used for, and who could possibly use this Adobe tool. Illustrator can be used to make visual compositions, logos, and so on. A lot of artists and graphic designers use this tool for many reasons. It was good to learn what Illustrator can be used to make, and who could use this tool.

Two more videos, "Setting up a new document," and, "How to Save Files," are just about how to navigate Illustrator, and obviously, how to open a document, and how to save that document after you are done working on that document. Even though Rani had already shown us how to do both of things, I still found it helpful as a refresher.

The two videos that I thought were the most helpful were, "5 Tips for Drawing in Illustrator," and, "Shape Tool." These two videos actually got into the guts of using Illustrator, and really opened my mind about what you can do with Adobe Illustrator. These videos went into great detail about certain tools, and about some shortcuts that you can use to make it easier to use Illustrator. As I said, I thought these two videos were the most helpful, for me at least.
